Job Description
- Letter of Credit Management:
- Draft, review, and process LCs (both import and export).
- Ensure compliance with LC terms and international trade guidelines (e.g., UCP 600, INCOTERMS).
- Coordinate with banks for issuance, amendments, and negotiation of LCs.
- Verify documents such as invoices, packing lists, and Bills of Lading to ensure alignment with LC requirements.
- Import/Export Documentation:
- Prepare and validate trade documents, including Proforma Invoices, Commercial Invoices, and Certificates of Origin.
- Liaise with shipping agents, customs, and clearing houses for the smooth release of goods.
- Maintain accurate records of import/export transactions.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Work closely with procurement, logistics, and finance teams for timely shipment and payment processes.
- Act as a point of contact between suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
- Ensure timely submission of documents to banks and stakeholders.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, including customs and banking policies.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to payment and documentation discrepancies.
- Resolve disputes related to LC terms and shipping issues.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in handling LCs and trade documentation.
- Strong knowledge of UCP 600, INCOTERMS, and trade finance procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
