Job Description

  • Lead the workshop team to achieve the company's objectives and targets.
  • Set objectives/ KPIs of subordinates aligning with company objectives and timely performance evaluation.
  • Periodic review of skill matrix/competency mapping and development of manpower.
  • Regularly coach/mentor one’s subordinates and conduct regular training for subordinates.
  • Manage the proper functioning of the workshop by implementing of best practices, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve the performance of the workshop.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, increase efficiencies, cost optimization, and suggest management accordingly.
  • Maintain work distribution control and ensure optimum utilization of resources including but not limited to manpower, tools, equipment, utilities, etc.
  • Ensure productivity and profitability and achieve annual agreed revenue targets of the workshop.
  • Ensure timely and quality services are given to the customers at the workshop.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, handle critical customer complaints, and maintain CSI.
  • Monitor and formulate an action plan to minimize repeat complaints to the agreed target. •
  • Equip the workshop with all necessary tools and equipment and ensure periodic maintenance and calibration of tools, equipment and infrastructure.
  • Regularly update on Tata Motor’s circulars issued time to time and ensure theirimplementation.
  • Ensure continual supply of spare parts to the workshop as per requirement. Ensure adequacy of line items and inventory as per area parc potential, item nature, model, volume, barrel, supply constraint, consumption etc. in the stores of the workshop.
  • Optimization of inventory by reliable estimate of spare parts requirements in the stores.
  • Order spare parts for VOR orders and status review regularly. • Coordinate for intra branch transfer of spare parts.
  • Operational control of stores with daily closing system.
  • Maintain Safety Stock as per failure trends, criticality and supply constraint in the stores.
  • Maintain good relationships with customers and other stakeholders.
  • Effective coordination with other departments and group companies as per requirement. Coordinate with vehicle sales and spare parts to support them and maintain cordial relationships.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering with 2 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of customer preferences and trends in the Automobile industry.
  • Knowledge of workshop management, policy, procedure, and norms.
  • Good leadership and communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and rational decision-making.
  • Good knowledge of ERP and MS Office.
