Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Sales Executive to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, and cultivating strong relationships with on-premise (bars, restaurants) and off-premise (retailers, liquor stores) accounts within an assigned territory. This role requires a passion for craft and commercial beer, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by effectively selling the company's full portfolio of beers.
- Identify and prospect new on-premise and off-premise accounts to expand distribution and market penetration.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to grow volume and secure optimal shelf/tap placements.
- Account Management & Relationship Building:
- Maintain and nurture strong, professional, and long-lasting relationships with existing accounts.
- Conduct regular sales calls and product presentations to buyers, managers, and owners.
- Act as the primary point of contact for accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Market Execution & Merchandising:
- Ensure proper merchandising standards are met, including maintaining product freshness, rotation, and optimal shelf/cooler/tap presence.
- Coordinate and execute tastings, promotional events, and staff training sessions to drive product awareness and sales.
- Monitor competitive activity and market trends, providing timely feedback to the management team.
- Administration & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and account progress using the designated CRM system.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly sales forecasts and reports.
- Manage budgets for promotional spending and sample inventory within the assigned territory.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven sales experience, preferably in the beverage alcohol industry (beer, wine, spirits).
- Experience working with distributors and managing a sales territory is highly desirable.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of the three-tier system (Manufacturer, Distributor, Retailer/Tavern) is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
