Job Description

  • Manage the company's legal and regulatory compliance activities.
  • Liaise with government agencies, local authorities, and regulatory bodies on behalf of the company.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  • Monitor changes in laws and regulations and advise management on potential impacts.
  • Handle legal disputes, claims, and litigation matters in coordination with external legal counsel.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with government officials, community leaders, and external stakeholders.
  • Support licensing, permits, approvals, and regulatory filings required for business operations.
  • Provide legal guidance and risk assessment on corporate decisions and business activities.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance policies and industry regulations.
  • Represent the company in meetings, hearings, and discussions with external parties when required.
  • Prepare reports and updates related to legal, compliance, and stakeholder engagement activities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Law, Corporate Governance, Public Policy, or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Government Relations, Public Relations, Corporate Affairs, External Affairs, or Legal Affairs.
  • Prior experience in the cement manufacturing, industrial, infrastructure, energy, or manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Nepalese laws, regulatory requirements, and compliance procedures.
  • Proven experience in dealing with government agencies, regulatory authorities, and local stakeholders.
  • Experience in handling legal documentation, contracts, agreements, and compliance matters.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
