Procurement Officer

Job Description

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to support organizational objectives.
• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish favorable terms and conditions.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements and provide assistance in selecting appropriate suppliers.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, including contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements within the procurement function.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.

Job Requirements

• Should be flexible to travel Butwal/Factory/farm visits
• Min 2-3 years of handling procurement of feed
• Bachelor's Degree 
• Strong understanding of agricultural inputs, procurement processes, and international trade regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and experience with relevant supply chain management software is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with contract management and legal principles.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
