Plant Operations Manager

Job Description

• Oversee daily plant operations including production planning, scheduling, and quality control
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
• Monitor and control operational costs, budgets, and resource utilization
• Lead, supervise, and train plant staff to improve performance and productivity
• Implement preventive maintenance programs for machinery and equipment
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
• Identify operational issues and implement effective solutions promptly
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth plant functioning

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
• 7–10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Minimum few years in a managerial/leadership role
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and plant operations
• Technical understanding of machinery and production systems
• Leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and coordination ability
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma is an advantage
• Proficiency in relevant software and reporting tools
