Japanese Counselor

Job Description

• Provide academic counseling services to Japanese-speaking students at various educational levels, including elementary, secondary, and post-secondary institutions.
• Assist students in setting academic goals, developing study skills, and creating educational plans that align with their interests, strengths, and career aspirations.
• Offer guidance and support to students and their families in navigating the educational system, including admissions processes, course selection, and standardized testing requirements.
• Conduct career assessments and help students explore career options, vocational interests, and potential pathways for future employment or further education.
• Coordinate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to identify students in need of academic support and develop intervention strategies to address their needs.
• Organize workshops, seminars, and informational sessions for students and parents on topics related to academic success, college readiness, and career planning.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2-3  years of experience in reputed educational consultancy.
• Bachelor's completed can apply.
• Fluency in Japanese and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
• Knowledge of the Japanese education system, including school structure, curriculum standards, and college admissions procedures.
• Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and understanding of cultural nuances in counseling and education.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and school personnel.
• Empathetic, patient, and supportive demeanor when working with students facing academic challenges or personal issues.
