Job Description
- Work closely with the RSM to ensure a consistent and clear understanding of the sales strategy, developing action plans and defining targets for the sales force.
- Assist in annual sales forecast for the area by finalizing an estimate of sales in the geography with the help of Sales Officers/supervisors and submit the same to RSM.
- Ensure Sales achievement vs. targets, identify weak areas and address them, and address issues faced by the sales team.
- Ensure that the distributor’s networks are as per the business requirements.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, preferences, and behaviors through customer relationships, sales management feedback, participating in Brand related activities, new launching, undergoing programs, and sales processes in each area.
- Understand the market trends, insights on competitors, and competitor analysis on a regular basis.
- Proactively provide key information and gather customer and market intelligence and share it with the management.
- Distributors Management and Executing Sales Monitoring
- Prepare the annual & monthly sales plans & programs for the respective dealers to assist the Regional Sales Manager
- Ensure proper inventory management and reconciliation for the respective dealers/wholesalers/outlets
- Ensure properly planned visitation at wholesalers, generating orders, assessing pipeline and trends for maximizing the sales of Sujal brands (per brand per SKU)
- Monitor effective pricing in designated wholesale of sujal brands as well as competition
- Conduct relevant merchandising (posturing, carton display, etc.) and housekeeping at all wholesale levels
- Handle product and trade complaints in a responsible & professional manner.
- Properly monitor the market as well as competitor’s activities
- Ensure proper promotional (discount, scheme as well as any other promotional activities) execution at wholesale
- Prepare & submit periodic sales reports, monthly distributor sales forecasts & monthly sales reports to Regional Sales Manager
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Proven 3 years of sales experience in the FMCG field.
- Sound knowledge of sales strategies and industry regulations.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and consultative sales skills.
