WOMEN ACT

Women Act is a national level NGO working to address gender inequality and for the empowerment of women and girls. Women Act believes that, for Nepal to become a more democratic and to achieve development, it must give women equal access to resources and decision-making opportunities. Hence, we focus our efforts on promoting the social, educational, economical, and political development of Nepalese women, including advocating for women’s rights, eliminating discrimination against women including GBV, advancing women’s capacities and leadership skills, and amplifying their voices for peace and development. Our programs and activities address pertinent issues that are affecting women’s development in Nepal, especially focusing on governance, gender inequality and marginalization of women and girls.
