Gym Coordinator

Job Description

• Assist in the smooth day-to-day running of the gym and fitness facilities.
• Help young people identify personal goals and develop personalised fitness programmes tailored to support and motivate them
• Demonstrate how to carry out various exercises and routines
• Constantly monitoring and being alert to how exercises and taking swift corrective action as necessary to minimize injury and improve fitness; 
• Careful observation Give alternative exercises during workouts or classes for different levels of fitness and skill.
• Monitor progress and adapt programs as needed.
• Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations on sports, recreational activities, and the use of exercise equipment
• Provide information or resources about nutrition, weight control, and lifestyle issues
• Provide emergency first aid if needed
• Liaising with The Principal, Associate Dean, and other relevant staff to understand how extra-curricular activities can support and enhance the curriculum and equip students with valuable life skills 
• Ensuring that any resources or equipment that are needed for extracurricular activities are purchased or acquired. 
• Ensuring that students use appropriate sports safety equipment and footwear as necessary.
• Ensuring that students are protected from dehydration by ensuring that drinking water is available.
• At all times behaving according to the highest standards of professionalism.

Job Requirements

• Gym Instructor certification.
• Experience of working in the fitness industry is desirable
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• A professional appearance
