Job Description
- Identify new and emerging markets for business development and lead on the development and implementation of a business development plan.
- Develop new relationships and partnerships with key influencers and partner organisations.
- Working with the Director of Marketing & Partnerships to develop the business model for the My Community programme.
- Assess and analyse the potential to grow and adapt existing services and products.
- To lead on research to track emerging trends and opportunities for Locality’s future development and introduction of new products and services.
- Develop new relationships and partnerships across sectors, supporting our partner membership programme and developing sponsorship opportunities.
- Contribute to reactive income generation opportunities, such as coordinating bids and proposals, undertaking analysis and modelling.
- As a senior member of staff contribute to Locality’s strategic development; and actively promote and demonstrate commitment to Locality’s equality and social justice principles.
- Comply with Locality’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Environmental, Diversity, Appraisal and Training/Development policies, and team working. Promote collegiate working across the organisation and promote.
Job Requirements
- A 8-10 years of track record of achievement on business development and income generation.
- Master's Degree in related field.
- Experience of partnership development and delivery.
- Development and implementation of business development plans and systems, of financial planning and modelling.
- Experience of leading and managing projects outside of line management responsibilities.
- Analytical skills, ability to understand complex issues and communicate them effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to persuade and influence, including influencing senior people internally and externally • Ability to deliver high quality presentations and pitches.
- Project management skills; ability to co-ordinate complex and multiple projects, delivering to a high standard.
- Highly organised and able to develop systems and processes, prioritise, schedule tasks and, manage and resolve workload conflicts.
- Able to motivate and develop staff, work across teams and build effective working relationships internally and externally whilst modelling our principles of equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Knowledge of Locality’s member organisations and the environment they operate in.
- Solutions focused with a can-do attitude.
