Job Description

  • Develop and maintain an accurate and up-to-date record of the company's fixed assets, including property, plant, and equipment.
  • Conduct regular physical verification and reconciliation of fixed assets to ensure alignment with the company's records.
  • Coordinate with the procurement and project management teams to properly account for newly acquired assets and disposals.
  • Calculate and record depreciation expenses for fixed assets based on appropriate accounting principles and policies.
  • Prepare regular reports on the status and performance of the company's fixed assets, including depreciation schedules and asset utilization.
  • Proper record for repair and maintenance of vehicles, plant, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely recording of asset-related transactions in the general ledger.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of asset management policies and procedures specific to the construction industry.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure that the use and maintenance of assets align with established guidelines.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in asset management and accounting, preferably in the construction industry in Nepal.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a sound knowledge of asset management principles.
  • In-depth understanding of asset management and accounting principles in the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with the use and maintenance of construction-related fixed assets.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic construction environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a focus on continuous process improvement.
