Job Description
- Manage daily accounting operations, including purchase, sales, journal, and return entries.
- Handle banking operations by collecting, presenting, and tracking cheques from the head office and branch offices while maintaining real-time status records in Google Sheets.
- Perform customer and vendor ledger reconciliations and obtain balance confirmations.
- Prepare monthly payroll and maintain accurate payroll records.
- Manage inventory costing (LC/TT) and update inventory records within the accounting system.
- Prepare and file statutory VAT returns in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized accounting records and documentation for audit purposes.
- Assist internal and external auditors by providing necessary financial records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory regulations.
- Support the finance team with periodic financial reporting and other accounting-related tasks.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Management, Commerce, Business Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, taxation, and financial reporting are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
- Sound understanding of VAT regulations and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Google Sheets.
- Good analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
